Thank you for covering Baghdad with 24-7 prayer this Ramadan! We’re excited to see God’s Kingdom grow in this city.
Baghdad al-Jadida
Baghdad al-Jadida means “New Baghdad” and is one of the 9 main districts of the city and is also the name of a smaller neighborhood within the district. It holds some of the most affluent neighborhoods in the city, but still has seen quite a lot of violence and war over the past 40 years.
Pray for: As we pray for “New Baghdad,” let’s pray for the redemption of Baghdad’s history. Pray that Baghdad would be “made new” in a spiritual sense and that it would no longer be known for its sad history, but for its redemption and love.

Characteristic of God: Merciful God
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” Psalm 145:8-9
