Thank you for covering Baghdad with 24-7 prayer this Ramadan! We’re excited to see God’s Kingdom grow in this city.
Washash
Washash was known to be a very violent neighborhood in the early 2000s due to ethnic cleansing of Sunni families by Shia militia and Sadr followers. It was so violent that it was nicknamed Little Sadr City by US soldiers. Sunni families were systematically forced to expel either by the death or kidnapping of the head male figure. It is currently a neighborhood filled with cafes and young people posting selfies.
Pray for: Dreams and visions of Jesus in the neighborhood. So many have experienced trauma or have heard traumatic stories – so pray for dreams and visions of Him that reveal that God is truly the God of gods and no amount of religious striving can save them.

Characteristic of God: The God of gods
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.” Deuteronomy 10:17-18
