Pray for Baghdad

May the fullness of the Kingdom be known in this city!

Prayer Fuel

Day 22 - March 31, 2024 (Resurrection Sunday)

Thank you for covering Baghdad with 24-7 prayer this Ramadan! We’re excited to see God’s Kingdom grow in this city.

Al-Mutanabbi

Al-Mutanabbi Street is arguably the most famous area in all of Baghdad. It is a one kilometer long narrow, car-free street full of booksellers and book stores. In 1932, this street was named after a very famous Iraqi poet, Al-Mutanebbi. At the entrance of the street is an arch decorated with the poet’s quotes and on the end of it is a statue of al-Mutanabbi that overlooks the Tigris River. Over time, al-Mutanabbi Street evolved into a symbol of intellectual freedom and speech.

Pray for:  On this Resurrection Sunday, pray that despite the words of man that are broadcasted so loudly from poets, authors and from minarets across this land, that The Truth would be known. Pray that Jesus would be known as the only Truth and that people’s hearts would be softened to His words.

Praying as a group?

Leading others in prayer is a great step in making disciples. We want to celebrate your and their faithfulness. For each person that prays with you, we will add 15 minutes to the 32.8 days of prayer committed so far.
